About Wilderwood

Wilderwood is a family farm located just west of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.  We offer fresh, farm-grown, choose & cut Leyland Cypress trees and pre-cut Fraser Firs, as well as freshly made wreaths and unique gift shop items.

In 2015 we planted our first "test crop" of Leyland Cypress trees and officially started Wilderwood Farm.  Motivated by a love for growing things, and a passion for life on the farm and the outdoors, we sought a way to combine those interest and share the things that we enjoy the most with those around us.  Christmas trees were the natural fit!

On a cold and wet winter day in February of 2015, after hand digging 100 holes, we planted out first baby trees, each measuring about 12" tall.  We planned, planted, pruned, sprayed, petted, pampered, prayed and watched them grow with eager excitement.  What began as a mother and daughter dream has grown into a reality with the help and support of many other family members.

While the trees are great, the BEST part of visiting Wilderwood is the experience of it all!  Wandering among the trees looking for that "special one", visiting with the farm animals, enjoying a cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter day, and spending time in the great outdoors with family and friends... these are the things that make a visit to Wilderwood Farm great!  We hope that you will start your tradition of making meaningful family memories at Wilderwood this year, and take home your "perfect tree" for a wonderful Christmas season.
